Search Help

To find what properties are available on this website you can search in two different ways;

1) Search by housing type alone using the buttons at the top of the page.

For example 'For Sale' , 'For Shared Equity' an so on.

2) Search by using the Property Search function on the right hand side of the page.

Here for example you can select multiple housing options by clicking on the tick boxes  and then pressing go. For example you could tick Homes for Sale, Shared Ownership, market rent to see what properties are available.

You can also search by area, by price and by number of bedrooms.

We have listed the different options that we provide below:

 

For Sale

We build new homes for sale on the open market.

Shared Equity

We provide shared equity opportunities in new developments or through initiatives in our existing stock where priority purchasers with below average incomes can normally buy at between 60% and 80% value of property. The Scottish Government provides equity funding for the remaining share. 

Shared Ownership

We offer the opportunity to buy a 25%, 50%, or 75% share in a property through shared ownership and pay an occupancy charge, equivalent to a share of a housing association rent, on the remaining share. Shared Ownership is targeted at priority groups earning below average incomes.  

Housing Association Rent

Castle Rock Edinvar provides accommodation throughout Edinburgh, the Lothians, Clackmannan, Falkirk, Stirling and East Dunbarton meeting a wide range of housing need. We have a mixture of general, amenity, sheltered and wheelchair standard properties. We allocate through choice based lettings and nomination agreements with local councils.   

Priority Need: Castle Rock Edinvar is a housing association providing accommodation for those considered to be in greater need. Priority is given to households assessed as homeless, overcrowded, living in poor conditions or including individuals with medical requirements.   

Market Rent

We provide at market prices both furnished accommodation and unfurnished accommodation with carpets, curtains and white goods.

Mid Rent

We target mid rent accommodation at key workers such as nurses, teachers or other public service employees earning below average incomes. Rents are set below a market rent level and properties are unfurnished.
